Congratulations to everyone who helped towards making The Paul Trigwell Island Run 2013 yet another success. I had been following the long term weather forecast for the previous 10 days very carefully and it was always predicted sunny from 6am till 12pm. I was making my way up from the Mile 7 point on the cliffs at 5.55am on Sunday morning when the sun came out! From then on the day seemed set to be a success with over 600 participants turning out to take part in the four events.
My thanks as always goes to everyone because whether you are taking part, sponsoring, marshalling, supporting or organising it could not be a success without you.
I have just spoken to the treasurer of the Memorial Fund and we have now given away £58,000 in the 6 years that we have been a registered charity. Please make sure you collect your sponsor money for this year as every penny counts towards ensuring that we are able to support Island children and young people.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the presentation evening on Friday June 21st at 7pm at The Academy West Site in Sheerness.
My sincere thanks to you all
Fiona Trigwell
